Relevant section: Time restrictions
This article relates to the access restrictions feature. For an overview of all restrictions, check out the article Levels of restrictions and redundancies.
Time Restriction can be used to restrict users from making unlocks during certain days, at certain times. For example, you can set a group of people to have access Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM only. If they attempt to unlock the door outside of those allowed time frames, they will be denied access.
Enable Time Restriction
Time Restriction can be enabled for individual doors or groups.
To enable Time Restriction for individual doors:
- Sign in to Kisi
- Open your Place
- Click on Doors and open the door you want to update
- Click on Time Restrictions tab
- Toggle on Time Restriction
- Click on Add Time Restriction
- Configure the Time Restriction (you can choose between and Single or Recurring event, enable All Day access or choose a timeframe)
- Click Save
To enable Time Restriction for a group:
- Sign in to Kisi
- Open your Place
- Click on Groups/Teams and open the Group you want to update
- Click on Time Restrictions tab
- Toggle on Time Restriction
- Click on Add Time Restriction
- Configure the Time Restriction (you can choose between and Single or Recurring event, enable All Day access or choose a timeframe)
- Click Save
Once you've saved your time restriction, you can always Disable it or Enable it again by sliding the toggle.
Please note that the time can only be set during a 24 hour period. If you need to set up an overnight restriction, this will have to be set as 2 Time Restrictions. Ex: A time restriction for 6 pm to 8 am (overnight) would require 2 entries:
- Time restriction for 6 pm to 11:59pm
- Time restriction for 12 am to 8 am
