This guide will help you to organize and plan your Kisi access control system installation. For Kisi to be installed successfully and smoothly, a few other components need to be in place.
Electronic Locks
The purchase of Kisi does not include the locking hardware. If the installation is being performed by an installer, the installers you work with can recommend the most appropriate one for your door.
If you are opting for a self-install, this guide will help in selecting the ideal lock for the door and any other hardware you are interested in installing.
Network Connectivity
Both the Kisi Controller and Kisi Reader work best when connected to the network via Ethernet. This ensures a strong, stable connection to the network.
While it is strongly recommended that both be connected via ethernet, they do have the ability to function over WiFi, provided the WiFi signal is very strong.
Dedicated Kisi Admin
Although the set-up and on-boarding of users to Kisi is a rather easy process, it is always good to have one person as a point of contact to get everything set up in the beginning.
