Alert policies are a helpful tool to notify specific users when specific events occur in an organization. When a matching event is recorded, the policies' subscribers will receive an email and/or push notification. With Alert policies, you can stay in control of your facility and keep track of what's happening in real-time. For example, a policy could be defined as follows:
- Door unlocks outside of core business hours
- Alert Joe via email when the main entrance door is unlocked during weekends
- Door held open for longer than unlock duration
- Alert Jane via push when a door is held open any day of the week
- New Org/Place integration added
- Alert admin Eve when an integration is created
- Login for user sign in
- Alert admin John a new user signs in for the first time
- Group permissions update
- Alert Gabby when a staff group is updated
Alert policies can also be set with Intrusion Detection. The zones that are set up with the intrusion detection feature can have specific alert policies that will apply when a zone is armed and will trigger specific events when certain actions take place. Again, subscribers can choose to receive email and/or push notifications for intrusion detection events.
The following conditions can trigger an alarm:
- Forced open
- Policy violations
- Arming violations
