Relevant section: Elevators
Most multi-tenant buildings use elevators to transport people and goods to and from various floors, such as garages, lobbies and the floors above. They are part of the access path, and by supporting elevators Kisi can securely cover most access paths in their entirety.
There are two types of elevators that Kisi supports:
Type | Description | Compatibility |
Relay Based Elevators | Legacy or simpler elevator use buttons inside the elevator car to send the elevator to specified floors. | ✅ Natively supported |
Dispatch Based Elevators | Dispatch based elevators offer terminals in the elevator hall on every floor that direct to an elevator based on the specified floor. | ✅ Supported with Braxos gateway |
- For elevators that are natively installed (using Kisi Controller relays), the number of elevator stops per elevator is limited to 100.
- Scheduled unlocks and lockdowns are currently not supported for elevator stops, but will be added in a later release.
- The admin of the place will be able to see in the events when the user has used the elevator but will not able to see which floor the user has been to (if the user has access to several floors).
