You can now enable wireless locks to function with the Kisi interface. A wireless lock is just what it sounds like: a smart lock that you equip on your doors that functions wirelessly and communicates utilizing modern technologies (WiFi, NFC, BlueTooth, Z-wave) with your various devices, allowing you to remotely unlock your doors without needing an antiquated physical key. These locks are highly modular and movable, requiring no wiring installation and minimal upheaval of existing infrastructure. As long as the doors are on a network, and within a reasonable range from a gateway/controller, they can be installed anywhere in your building.
With our integration, you can now connect Allegion NDE smart locks with Kisi controllers, allowing you to view all your facility or office’s locks in one unified interface within Kisi.
How does it work?

There are two extra pieces of hardware required besides the locks: the Allegion gateway, and the Kisi Controller. If you already have a Controller, you only need the additional Allegion gateway. This will allow the wireless locks to communicate with the Kisi Controller, as they use different protocols (WiFi versus Z-waves). The Allegion gateway can be connected to up to 10 doors, and each controller can be connected to one Allegion gateway, meaning that a single Kisi controller can govern up to four Kisi readers and 10 wireless locks, for up to 14 doors total in this setup.
The connection between the Allegion gateway and the wireless lock is BLE. You should try to keep the gateway no more than 30 ft from the locks. If you're having trouble linking your devices on the Allegion software, try doing a site survey to test your connection strength. If the signal is too weak, try moving your Allegion gateway closer to your lock.
Once the setup is accomplished (details on that hereafter), the wireless locks will appear in the Kisi interface as additional doors tied to a specific place (controller)
How do I set it up?
The first step is setting up the hardware. You can find detailed instructions on this here, in the hardware installation guide.
Once that is accomplished, you can move on to the software side. Find instructions here, in the software installation guide.
Once those are accomplished, you will want to create a door in the Kisi admin dashboard. Name it something meaningful and recognizable! This ‘door’ will be linked to your wireless lock. Find instructions on how to do that in this create doors tutorial.
Once you have completed those, the locks can be configured by your Kisi place administrator on the controller page. After you've finished the configurations you’ll be ready to use your new doors!
