If you wish to incorporate contact sensors or request to exits (REX), i.e. - a push to exit button or a motion sensor, into your Kisi system, you can wire them directly to your Kisi controller by following the steps below.
Please note: If you want to avoid wiring door contact sensors in the future, take a look at Kisi's upcoming wireless contact sensor.
Wiring Contact Sensors and Request to Exits
1. Connect the contact sensor and/or the request to exit (REX) leads to to the channel inputs in the contact sensor and/or request to exit (REX) relays.
2. Once the contact sensor and/or the request to exit (REX) has been connected, they will need to be configured in the Kisi dashboard software.
Intrusion Alarms
Kisi offers two types of intrusion alarms: Held Open and Forced Open alarms.
Held Open Alarm
To set up a held open alarm which triggers when a door is held open longer than X seconds, set up the following alert policy:

To set up a forced open alarm which triggers when a door is opened without an unauthorized access event, set up the following alert policy:
