Backplate Measurements
Tools required:
- A screwdriver/hand drill
- A #2 Phillips driver if mounting on mounting box
- 7/8 inch (22.2mm) drill bits if mounting on aluminium profile
- 1/8 inch (3mm) drill bit for pilot holes
Mounting instructions
To mount the Kisi Reader 2 on LV1 Mounting Bracket:
- Secure the Backplate and the Aluminium mounting frame to the LV1 mounting bracket by using the 2 wall mounted screws.
- Connect the Reader Pro 2 to the cabling in place (Cat 6 or low voltage wires).
- Insert the Reader Pro 2 inside the aluminium mounting frame and then slide up the Reader Pro 2.
- Secure the Reader Pro 2 by installing the security screw (hex key provided)
To mount the Kisi Reader 2 on metallic profile:
- Drill a hole of at least 7/8 inch (22.2mm) of diameter in the metallic profile.
- Secure the Aluminium mounting frame to the metallic profile using the 2 self-tapping screws.
- Connect the Reader Pro 2 to the cabling in place (Cat 6 or low voltage wires).
- Insert the Reader Pro 2 inside the aluminium mounting frame and then slide the Reader Pro 2 in the upper direction.
- Secure the Reader Pro 2 by installing the security screw (hex key provided).
Wiring
Never connect both a CAT6 cable and 2 low voltage wires at the same time to the Reader. The Reader Pro 2 only needs to be powered either using PoE or 2 low voltage wires.
To wire the Kisi Pro Reader 2 using PoE: connect a CAT6 cable to the Reader Pro 2 pigtail.
To wire the Kisi Pro Reader 2 using Low-Voltage and Wifi:
- Connect the 2 low voltage wires (12V DC) to the 2 wires of the Reader Pro 2:
- Red for +12V DC-in
- Black for Ground
