Integrate Momence with Kisi

Momence is a cloud-based software solution for fitness studios, dance schools, and spas, offering a range of features, including task automation and scheduling.

Prerequisites​

  • Kisi Organization Administrator rights
  • Momence account

Generate a Kisi API key​

You need to have organization administrator or organization owner rights to create an API key. We recommend creating API keys from the organization owner's account, to avoid the API key becoming invalid when an organization admin loses their admin rights.

  1. Sign in to Kisi
  2. On the top right corner, click on your name and click on My Account
  3. Next, select the API tab and click on Add API Key
  4. Enter your name, your Kisi password, and your verification code and click Add
  5. Copy the API key shown on the screen and click Close

Set up the integration in Momence​

  1. Sign in to Momence
  2. Go to Apps & Integrations
  3. Click on Integrations > Kisi
  4. Click on Settings
  5. Go to the API Key field and paste the API key you obtained in the previous step
  6. Click Save

After saving, you'll be able to view all the locks connected to doors through Kisi. For each lock, you can check its online status by clicking the Test Unlock button.

Configure access control​

Access control in the Momence integration is configured through a tagging system. It is essential that you assign the same tags to both your memberships/credit packs and to the corresponding locks to ensure proper access control.

Create and assign tags to memberships and packs​

First, create tags by navigating to Customers > Tags > Create New Tag for customer-related tags. After the tags are created, you need to link them to specific memberships or packs via the tagging system.

  1. In Momence, click on Memberships in the left-side panel
  2. Toggle between Credit packs and Memberships
  3. Click on the specific membership or credit pack
  4. In the top right corner, click the Action button and select Edit
  5. Scroll down to the Tags section
  6. Select the tags you will base the access on
  7. Click Save

Assign tags to locks​

  1. Go to Apps & Integrations > Integrations > Kisi
  2. Scroll to the Locks section
  3. Add the same tags to the locks that correspond to the membership tags

Customer experience​

Customers can unlock Kisi-enabled locks from their Momence mobile app. They will only be able to access locks if they have the correct Momence tag associated with their subscription or pack.

The integration includes geofencing protection, requiring customers to be within a set distance of the location before they can gain access. Just click the toggle for geofencing when configuring the lock.
