Kisi iOS app

As a Kisi organization admin, you can use the Kisi iOS app to manage access to your facilities. End users can use the app to unlock doors with their phone.

Prerequisites​

  • iPhone with iOS 15.0 or later

Admin features​

  • Add new users to your Kisi organization
  • Manage existing users: change group membership of users, enable/disable access, delete users
  • Manage temporary access your spaces: add/remove access links
  • Intrusion detection: See a list of zones and their details
  • User activity: Get a detailed overview of your users' activity at your facility
  • Event history: See all Kisi-related events as they happen at your facility, as well as the user involved. Visually replay related media footage. See past events by fetching older events, up to 90 days.
  • Connect Kisi devices: Connect your Kisi hardware to the internet via Wi-Fi
  • Place lockdown: Lock down the entire place.
  • Door lockdown: Lock down individual doors.

User features​

  • See the list of the doors you have access to and unlock them inside the app
  • Tap to Unlock (requires bluetooth permission): open a door by holding your iPhone up to a Kisi Reader
  • MotionSense (requires bluetooth permission): wave your hand in front of the reader to unlock the door (only supported by MotionSense-enabled doors)

The Kisi Apple Watch app​

The Kisi Apple Watch app allows you to open doors without using your phone. Please note that the Apple Watch app comes bundled with the iOS app. This means, you need have the iOS app installed on your phone in order to use the Apple Watch app.

Once the app is opened, you will be able to see a list of your favorite doors, which you can tap to gain entry.

The app is compatible with watches using watchOS 7.2 or later.

Kisi on Apple Carplay​

Kisi seamlessly integrates with Apple CarPlay, allowing you to unlock garage doors and gates through Apple CarPlay. This eliminates the need to reach for the remote controls or iPhones while on the move, increasing safety for those inside the car and the surrounding environment, ensuring a more secure and focused driving experience.

The integration requires an iPhone with Kisi iOS app version 44.0 and above. Once signed in, the Kisi icon will appear on CarPlay. When you open the app, a list of your favorite doors will be displayed, allowing you to tap to unlock.
